Introduction To Recreational Gymnastics

Our recreational gymnastics program is designed to introduce children to basic gymnastics positions and skills while developing coordination, strength and flexibility -- all in a positive, highly active and fun learning environment.

Beginners Classes are designed for children with very limited or no experience in gymnastics instruction.  On Floor Exercise, focus is on basics such as rolling skills, headstands, and cartwheels.  On apparatus equivalent the fundamental building blocks of more advanced skills are taught.  Your child will have a great time learning how to move gymnastically!

Intermediate Classes begin to introduce more advanced skills on all apparatus.  Handstands, Round-offs, and headsprings are examples of Floor Exercise skills taught.

Advanced Classes continue to introduce gymnasts to more advanced skills.  Children work on Floor skills such as front and back walkovers and handsprings.  At this level gymnasts are encouraged to participate in local low-keyed competitions.

Girls Recreational Gymnastics

Athletes will develop skills on the vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.  All girls recreational classes focus on individual progress with a coach-to-gymnast ratio of 1:8.

Boys Recreational Gymnastics
